Our Managed Healthcare Pharmacy Staff

Our team of professionals includes pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and many other highly qualified and trained individuals dedicated to ensuring the right medications and supplies are delivered to you on a timely schedule. Managed Healthcare Pharmacy’s goal is to give its best effort to deliver superior quality pharmaceutical care and the highest level of customer service to meet your health care needs. Pharmacy Staff

Pharmacist-in-Charge: The pharmacist-in-charge, or PIC, is responsible for the overall management and security of the actual pharmacy and its technicians.

Order Entry Technicians: The order entry technicians enter prescriptions into our pharmacy database system, produce the labels for both individual prescription orders and the monthly batch fill, then they forward them to the pharmacists for filling. The order entry technicians are also responsible for maintaining medical records in our database and files.

Pharmacists: Highly trained, experienced registered pharmacists train and manage the pharmacy technical staff and overall deliver of the medication. They are responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are accurately fill and verified. Our knowledgeable pharmacists are available to answer any question you may have about the medicines you are receiving.

Filling Technicians: The pharmacist will distribute the incoming prescriptions and batch orders to our trained staff of filling technicians. These technicians are responsible for filling vials or bubble pack cards with the correct medicines called for on the prescription orders, labeling them with the right instructions, and forwarding them to the pharmacists to be check for accuracy.

Verification Technicians: Once the prescriptions have be checked by the pharmacists, they move on to the verification technicians who provide another quality control check. They recheck the orders to ensure they match the pharmacy orders, are correctly labeled and placed in the right facility shipping containers. After the orders are verified and packaged for shipment, they are sent out for delivery.

Delivery Drivers: The delivery drivers check each shipment to ensure that each shipment contains the right orders for each facility. The delivery drivers sort the deliveries by routes and deliver them in a timely manner according to schedule.

Refill Technicians / Receptionists: The refill technician coordinates acquiring the correct refill authorizations from the doctors and forwarding them to the order entry technicians for processing. As the receptionist, this person greets any visitors to our pharmacy.

Inventory Technicians: The inventory technicians are responsible for acquiring and maintaining adequate inventory to facilitate all pharmacy orders as needed.

Support Staff

Billing Clerks: As an institutional pharmacy, Managed Healthcare Pharmacy must invoice the Department of Human Services, insurance companies and/or the clients or the responsible parties for the clients’ medicines. We work closely with all parties to collect payment in a timely manner and ensure an uninterrupted flow of pharmacy orders to the client.

Records Clerks: The records clerks help create and maintain client records. They also print various medical forms that Managed Healthcare provides to the facilities to help facilities manage their residents’ pharmaceutical care.

Operations Staff

Operations Manager: The operations manager is responsible for operational management of the pharmacy including marketing, sales, human resources, medical records security, customer service, planning and development, facilities, transportation and all non-pharmacy aspects of the business including home health care and durable medical equipment sales.

Operations Coordinator: The operations coordinator manages the accounting and financial needs of the pharmacy and assists the operations manager and pharmacist-in-charge as needed.

Marketing Manager: The marketing manager is responsible for developing new markets for the pharmacy’s products and services and signing up new facilities.

HME Sales Coordinator: The HME sales coordinator is responsible for the sale and delivery of all home medical products and durable medical equipment to our clients and facilities.
